Our Delivery Partner
DPD Local
Our main delivery partner is DPD Local. As we’re delivering fresh meat, we can only utilise their Next Day service. This means it is collected from us at 5pm and delivered to you the very next day.
DPD have invested heavily in their infrastructure and technology. For this reason, they are able to provide an unrivalled level of service for our customers.
Not only that but they are dedicated to reducing their carbon emission by implementing electric vehicles.
Delivery Areas
We can deliver our products to addresses within mainland UK. We are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland, any islands, or isles. Furthermore, there are certain postcodes within Scotland that our courier DPD are unable to provide their next-day service. You can view the DPD services available in Scotland or refer to our postcode list below.

Regular Updates From Bromfields
When you order with us, we like to keep you updated with your order progress. Once your order is placed we’ll send you an order confirmation. Here you can check all of your order details and ensure your shipping information is correct. Then, the day before your order is due for delivery, we’ll generate your shipping label and send your details to DPD. You will be notified by email once this has been completed.
From DPD
DPD will then collect your order from us and scan your parcel(s) into their tracking system. They will send a text or email notifying you that they have your parcel and that it will be delivered the next day. And finally, on the morning of delivery, you will get another notification providing a 1-hour or 2-hour slot. would encourage all customers to download the Free DPD App to have up to date notifications on the delivery of their parcel. The customer gets a notification it is out for delivery, a 1 hour time slot, a 30 minute notification and a ‘Your Next’ notification. The customer should therefore be able to practically track the drivers every steps

Your meats are protected:-
We put a great deal of care and attention into making sure our products are perfect, so we’ve put just as much effort into making sure it is delivered to you in perfect condition. We want your order to reach you in the same condition you would get it if you walked into our shop and bought it in person…….Even if you live at the other end of the country. We pack all our products On over wrapped trays or in vacuum pouches to ensure maximum freshness and then your fresh meat is packed in a thick walled recyclable cool box and surrounded by gel ice packs to keep your order at the optimum temperature during transit.
Our custom made boxes are three times stronger than ordinary boxes and are specifically designed for carrying chilled meats.
Damaged Parcels
If your order is delivered with any damage to the box or content, before disposing of the box and contacting us please ensure to take as many pictures as possible of the damage inside and outside the box and any damage to the contents. We would also need a picture that clearly shows the label on the damaged box as we will require these to investigate further.
By placing an order for delivery you accept that DPD delivery drivers are authorised to leave parcels in a place that they consider safe. Bromfields Butchers cannot be responsible for any loss of parcels after they have been delivered.
Stolen Parcels
Important: Once the parcel has been delivered and proof of delivery photo has been posted, the security of your parcel then becomes your responsibility. Bromfields Butchers and DPD Local are not liable for parcels stolen from your property after this point.
The driver may not knock or ring your doorbell. The way couriers deliver parcels has changed in recent years and although we would prefer all drivers knocked, many now don’t, and we are unable to make them. You should receive a text or email when your parcel is delivered, please look out for this as it is the most reliable form of delivery notification. If you live in a building with a communal foyer/entrance hall, your parcel may be left here so it is important to be on-hand to collect it as soon as you receive your delivery notification.
