Using the Best Beef
Smash burgers require a higher fat percentage than the average burger, Choosing a lean beef mixture is likely to give you dry, tough burgers.
Cooking Smash Burgers
First things first, you'll want to get the griddle surface really, really hot. Aim for 650 degrees or more. You can test the temperature by sprinkling a small amount of water on the surface. It should instantly dance and disappear. Do not add oil to the griddle surface since you want maximum exposure.
Using the Hamburger Spatula
Drop each burger ball onto the griddle surface making sure that each patty has enough room to be pressed out. Let each of them sizzle for a few seconds, then press the patties down as hard as you can, keeping the spatula level and even. This is why you need a strong spatula with a stable handle that is comfortable to use.
Searing the Burgers
Now that you've pressed down the patties, let them cook just until the edges are getting crispy, then flip. Use the spatula to scrape around the edges before getting the patty onto the blade. This keeps the patty from falling apart.
Immediately put a slice of cheese on the patty. After a few seconds, pull the burger patties and place them on the buns. The thin, pressed meat will cook very fast and it is easy to overcook the meat. One of the great things about cooking burgers this way is that you can turn them out very quickly.

We pack all our products On over wrapped trays or in vacuum pouches to ensure maximum freshness and then your fresh meat is packed in a thick walled recyclable cool box and surrounded by gel ice packs to keep your order at the optimum temperature during transit.
Our custom made boxes are three times stronger than ordinary boxes and are specifically designed for carrying chilled meats.
Delivery within 24 hours of postage - Although the boxes are designed to stay cool for 48 hours, we aim to deliver your meat in 24.In some cases there can be delays which are outside our control but the orders are sent in thermal packaging which can keep the meat cool for up to 48 hours.

We would encourage all customers to download the Free DPD App to have up to date notifications on the delivery of their parcel. The customer gets a notification it is out for delivery, a 1 hour time slot, a 30 minute notification and a ‘Your Next’ notification. The customer should therefore be able to practically track the drivers every steps

Damaged Parcels
If your order is delivered with any damage to the box or content, before disposing of the box and contacting us please ensure to take as many pictures as possible of the damage inside and outside the box and any damage to the contents. We would also need a picture that clearly shows the label on the damaged box as we will require these to investigate further.
By placing an order for delivery you accept that DPD delivery drivers are authorised to leave parcels in a place that they consider safe. Bromfields Butchers cannot be responsible for any loss of parcels after they have been delivered.
Stolen Parcels
Important: Once the parcel has been delivered and proof of delivery photo has been posted, the security of your parcel then becomes your responsibility. Bromfields Butchers and DPD Local are not liable for parcels stolen from your property after this point.
The driver may not knock or ring your doorbell. The way couriers deliver parcels has changed in recent years and although we would prefer all drivers knocked, many now don’t, and we are unable to make them. You should receive a text or email when your parcel is delivered, please look out for this as it is the most reliable form of delivery notification. If you live in a building with a communal foyer/entrance hall, your parcel may be left here so it is important to be on-hand to collect it as soon as you receive your delivery notification.

In the unlikely event your order from us is incorrect or damaged, please call or email us as soon as possible, and we'll do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.
Please let us know within 24 hours from the date of your order being delivered, if any products have been incorrectly supplied. We will then either provide a refund to the same payment card/PayPal account as was used to place the order, or send replacement correct items out to you.
If any of the products are defective or damaged in some way, they may at our discretion, have to be returned to Bromfields. If this is the case, we must ensure this happens by the Use By Date of the items. If they are indeed found to be faulty or defective, we will provide either a replacement or a refund.
Your right to cancellation starts at the time of placing your order. As all of our products are food items and are therefore perishable, your right to cancel ceases 48 hours before dispatching or collecting of your order.
Our quality guarantee - if you are not completely satisfied with any of our products, please tell us and we will work with you to resolve this to your satisfaction.
