Who are we?

Our Story

Bromfields Butchers, was established in 1976 by Ralph Bromfield. The business originally supplied wholesale to Restaurants and the catering trade, Ralph had previously worked for a large wholesale Butchers before taking the chance to use the skills and knowledge learnt over the years to start his own business.

Ralph's son Chris Bromfield second-generation butcher who has worked along side his father all his working life, took the reins in 2012 after the passing of his late father. And following in his footsteps he and his wife Fay opened they're first retail shop in 2014, Since then the company has gone from strength to strength expanding from our humble beginnings to where we are today.

Throughout this expansion we have been constantly mindful of our roots, and pride ourselves as a family Butchers, maintaining that family feel as most of our staff have been with us from the beginning.

We have built up a fantastic reputation based on the quality of our locally farmed meats. The quality of our service is equally as important because we know, our biggest advertisers are you, our customers.

Bromfields Butchers are proud to support the local countryside. Our meat is sourced from the best local farms so when you purchase from us you are also helping to support British agriculture.
