32 Day Dry Aged Welsh Rib Eye Steak
Richly Marbled • Intensely Flavoured • Butcher’s Favourite
Treat yourself to the unbeatable flavour and tenderness of our 32 Day Dry Aged Welsh Rib Eye Steak—a true classic and one of our personal favourites here at Bromfields. Thick cut and beautifully marbled, this steak delivers a melt-in-the-mouth texture and deep, beefy richness that only proper dry aging can achieve.
We age our Welsh beef for a minimum of 32 days in specialist Himalayan salt dry-age fridges, allowing the meat to naturally tenderise and intensify in flavour. The result? A premium steak that’s rich, succulent, and full of character.
Why You’ll Love It:
-
Thick cut with generous marbling for natural juiciness
-
Aged for 32 days using Himalayan salt for bold flavour
-
Locally sourced Welsh beef from trusted farms
-
Ideal for pan-searing or grilling to medium or medium rare
-
A standout choice for steak night or weekend indulgence
Cooking Tip:
Bring to room temperature before cooking. Season simply with salt and pepper, then pan-fry or grill over high heat for a beautiful crust—aim for medium rare (core temp 55–57°C) to enjoy its full tenderness.
🍷 Wine Pairing for Rib Eye Steak
Go Bold. Go Red. Let the Wine Match the Meat.
Dry-aged Rib Eye has intense flavour, juicy marbling, and a melt-in-the-mouth finish. To stand up to this richness, pair it with a full-bodied red wine that offers structure, tannin, and depth.
🥇 Top Recommendation: Malbec (Argentina)
Malbec’s bold black fruit, smoky finish, and firm tannins make it an ideal match for rib eye. It enhances the charred edges and complements the buttery fat.
🍷 Other Excellent Options:
-
Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley or Bordeaux)
Deep and structured, with blackcurrant and oak notes—perfect for grilled or pan-seared steak. -
Syrah/Shiraz (Rhône or Barossa Valley)
Peppery, rich, and intense—balances the dry-aged depth with spice and dark fruit. -
Zinfandel (California)
Fruity, robust, and slightly spicy—great for those who prefer a rounder finish.
Serving Tip:
Let your wine breathe for 30–60 minutes before serving. Enjoy alongside steak cooked medium-rare to medium for the perfect melt and balance.
A steakhouse experience at home—expertly prepared by Bromfields Butchers.

Packaging
Packaging
All our orders are dispatched in a custom made packaging solution laboratory tested to achieve a temperature of between 0°C and 8°C for up to 48 hours in warm conditions, operating within the Food Safety Guidelines. Our Boxes are made from a very durable walled outer cardboard carton, which is then lined with 6 x Insulating Cardboard Cavities combined with food safe gel ice packs.
Not only are the materials used 100% safe for food packaging but they are also reusable and, once you have finished with them, they are easy to dispose of.
Cardboard has one of the most accessible recycling systems, simply contact your local authority for more information.
- 100% plant based & organic
- Fully kerbside recyclable
- Totally sustainable
- Plastic free
- No matter how it is disposed of, it will not impact the environment
- Over 90% of material used to create the system is recycled
As for the cooler gels open the plastic pack and mix the gel contents in with the soil around your plants. It's a very efficient water retainer to keep plants thriving if they've been without rain for a while, and the gel will absorb both water and nutrients in the soil or your compost, so the plants can take them up as needed.
