Chateaubriand is a lovely thick-cut tenderloin fillet of beef. It goes through a maturation process of at least 28 days to intensify the flavour and increase tenderness when cooked. Served medium rare with a Béarnaise sauce, it is your classic sharing steak.
The thicker end of the fillet muscle. This is an incredibly tender, lean cut. Another great choice for making a Beef Wellington, or for a decadent sharing roast.
Supplied chilled and Vacuum Packed. Store at < 5°C. See pack for shelf life. Suitable for freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within 12 months.
