On these farms the young pigs are fed with a highly nutritious creep and weaner diet to encourage growth and enhance gut condition for optimum health and happiness.
Growing pigs will be housed in social groups with free access to well strawed tented lodges which are nice and snug in winter and cool in summer in a large paddock area overlooking the river Alde and its estuary.
Straw is gathered at harvest from numerous local farms in order to provide nice warm bedding of a manipulable material with which the pig can play or chew.
Welsh Lamb, which has PGI status, is only awarded to food products which have full traceability of where the produce is from within their country of origin. All lamb products that we sell are fully traceable from the farm pasture to your plate.
Our Welsh beef is traditionally hung and dry-aged in our cold store, where it is hung for between 14 and 21 days to ensure the maximum flavour and tenderness – our meat is then cut to order by our skilled team of artisan butchers.
Perfect rack of ribs. Loads of meat on them. Premium quality
These take Burgers to new hieghts. Once you've tried them you won't go back to "ordinary" burgers!
My six year old grandaughter devoured a whole one of these monsters. Cooked medium rare they are fantastic. Love the fact they are local (we are in the Welsh valleys). We will be having them again soon!
We have had several of these. I slow roast it in foil then expose the pre-salted crackling and ramp up the temperature until it is brown and crunchy. A mid week feast that the family love.
This was the second time we have had this gammon. It makes a great roast with loads left for a pie, sandwiches etc. It won't be our last!
